Executive: AMA Mirzaee Founded: 2004 Website: www.AmaSwissWatches.com Ama Mirzaee began at age 12 with his desire and interest in creating jewelry. His first success was in winning a competition for designing a crown. He was able to open his first store at the age of 14 with the reward he received from the design competition. Ama made his first watch in 1970 from gold in his small workshop. After being faithful to his work and with all the time he put into his work, it didn't take long before his reputation was established. Not only did the movements present a complicated way of keeping track of time, they were a symbol of uniqueness in making a fashion statement. It has been a long journey from the custom made watch to conquering the luxury market of design. Even though the business initially concentrated on diamond jewelry, the outcome was unique, fashionable and high quality. In 1987 the first boutique featuring the custom, handmade diamond Ama jewelry was opened by the family in Canada. Together with the help of his wife, son, and daughter, Ama built a name that today is a very well-known not only in North America and Europe but also in Asia. All the designs are created by Ama himself. The watches were custom made until there was an increase in demand. By 2002, the watches were made in larger quantities in Switzerland to honor the name, AmaSwiss. Ama's main office is located in Toronto, Ontario. Visiting Ama's boutique when in Toronto has been a tradition for celebrities who often drop in without appointments. Some of the wildest designs have come when Ama was asked to create custom watches for celebrities. It is a great honor for Ama to exhibit his most unique work. By 2007 AmaSwiss distribution all over the Middle East, Europe and Asia making the name known worldwide. |
